Straight to the Moon, Adidas

Adidas is partnering with the International Space Station to perform product testing in a microgravity environment to improve soccer ball and shoe design. Sustainability is also being studied to account for reuse of every gram of material.

Adidas hopes to learn how to improve sustainable manufacturing as a result of this partnership.

Hunters Point, a new library branch in Queens, is finally open.

It boasts a unique and stylish design that is a source of pride in the community. The construction project was very much over time and over budget. Although there are many reasons for this project management nightmare, it appears that measures meant to promote efficient use of taxpayers’ money had unintended consequences.

Spirit Halloween’s Pop-Up Stores

Each year more than 1,300 Spirit Halloween stores pop-up for the Halloween season.

The company hopes to capture part of the $9 Billion Halloween market by offering costumes and other Halloween items.  These stores typically open in early September and close a few days after Halloween, and are located in areas with high traffic to draw in customers in.
